Praktik Retorika Politik Gibran Rakabuming Raka dalam Debat Calon Wakil Presiden Tahun 2024

This study analyzes the application of Aristotle's Rhetoric theory in Gibran's political communication through the 2024 presidential election debate. The focus of the study is on the type of rhetoric used by Gibran in the second and fourth debates of the 2024 general election. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the data were obtained from documentation through broadcasts of the second and fourth vice presidential debates on the Metro TV Youtube channel on December 22, 2023 and January 21, 2024. The results of this study indicate that Gibran Rakabuming Raka in his political communication applies three aspects of Aristotle's rhetorical theory, namely ethos/credibility, pathos/emotion, and logos/logic. Of the three aspects, Gibran more often uses the logos/logic aspect in the form of facts and data, and for the type of rhetoric, Gibran uses a deliberative type of rhetoric.
