In 2012–2014, four excavation seasons were conducted at Ramat Bet Shemesh (Permit Nos. A-6565, A-6897, A-6953, A-7001; map. ref. 198224–58/625342–58; Fig. 1), prior to the construction of a new neighborhood. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by the Yesodot Tzur company, was directed by I. Radashkovsky and Y. Paz (pottery), with the assistance of Y. Zur, N.
