In December 2016 and January 2017, a trial excavation was conducted at Ramat Ha-Sharon, south of Highway 5 and east of the Tennis Center (Permit No. A-7875; map ref. 185232-620/670405-660), along the route of a planned fuel pipeline. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and financed by Petroleum & Energy Infrastructures Ltd., was directed by L. Nadav-Ziv, with the assistance of R. Moshe (area supervision), Y. Amrani and E. Bachar (administration), P. Gendelman , R. Mishayev (surveying), A. Peretz (photography), H. Torgë (pottery consultation), D. Barkan (metal detection), M.
