Bouvard et Pécuchet e o fantástico uso da biblioteca em Flaubert

In this paper, we aim to analyze the matter of the library in Bouvard et Pécuchet, by Gustave Flaubert. Since the author read and made a written summary of approximately 1,500 books in order to write this novel, it is easy to spot copies and even quotes of other works in Bouvard et Pécuchet. It is not our intention to indicate the passages in which these copies and quotes can be read, but to observe their implications for the way the novel is structured and the idea of writing. Finally, we briefly present some reflections about this copy and its implications for the way of thinking the space of reading.
