The account of the reign of Josiah in 2 Kings 22:1–23:30 contains many critical issues. It has become one of the most discussed passages in the OT. Not only is it important for an understanding of the story of the monarchy in the books of Kings, but it is also regarded as a crucial passage for the dating of the Pentateuch. The lawbook which was found in the temple of the LORD firms the Josiah reformation which was underway. What kind of the Book? Who is the writer? Whether the founded book belonged to Moses, or not? Whether there was a relation between Josiah’s Law, Book of Covenant, and books of Moses (Pentateuch). But because of that, Josiah was judged as a king who did what was right in the sight of the LORD and walked in all the way of David, his father. At the time the Lawbook became a reformation constitution of Judah, to the legitimate reign of Josiah for 31st years over the Southern Kingdom.
