Pesona Tuba: Pemerkasaan Komuniti Setempat

Pulau Tuba is an island rich in natural beauty, flora and fauna, and ecotourism destinations, located 5 km southwest of the Kuah Jetty, Langkawi Island. Pulau Tuba has the potential to become a tourist destination on par with Langkawi Island. However, promotional efforts related to Pulau Tuba have received little attention from tourists. Therefore, a community project has been initiated by Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) through the University for Society (U4S) Program, known as Pesona Tuba, to promote Pulau Tuba as an international tourist destination. Pesona Tuba comprises two projects: Digital Entrepreneurship and the Digital Language E-Manual. The Digital Entrepreneurship Project provides exposure and skills in the use of digital marketing techniques, such as photography and digital video production techniques via social media platforms. Meanwhile, the Digital Language E-Manual Project aims to improve English proficiency through the use of technology—specifically the Tuba Smart Application—to enable more effective communication between tourism service providers and tourists.
