Ethnocultural approach in the process of musical education as a factor of socialisation of musical students in a modern university

The article examines the possibilities of an ethnocultural approach in the conditions of modern music education at a modern university. The author believes that the ethnocultural approach is a factor of socialisation of musical students in a multicultural environment. The main criterion for the evaluation of the results of the implementation of the ethnocultural approach can be the ethnocultural socialisation of a musical student. The daily work of a teacher-musician is connected with spiritual values. This is due to the main value - the motherland. “Civic identity” is one facet of the ethnocultural approach. The concept of “ethnic identity” appears. The categories “social” and “ethno-cultural” are combined and “ethno-cultural socialization” is created, which forms a personality. The ethnocultural approach in a modern music university is the right way to move along the path of socialisation of a music student in a multicultural environment.
