Одной из главных проблем отечественного духовного образования является отсутствие качественных современных учебников, которые не только соответствовали бы православной Традиции, но и учитывали достижения современной науки. В особенности это относится к библейским дисциплинам, по которым до недавнего времени существовали в лучшем случае лишь православные пособия полувековой давности, а в худшем — и дореволюционные. Последние, будучи, как правило, приемлемы методологически, фактологически всё же во многом устарели и чаще всего не отражают основных достижений современной библейско-богословской науки. На текущем этапе развития библеистики мы уже не можем довольствоваться простым повторением достижений отечественной науки XIX в., но обязательно должны учитывать наработки современной западной библейской науки, подвергая их должной критической оценке и анализу. One of the main problems of domestic spiritual education is the lack of quality contemporary textbooks which not only conform to the Orthodox Tradition, but also take into account the achievements of modern science. This is especially true of biblical disciplines, in which until recently there were at best only Orthodox manuals from half a century ago, and at worst even pre-revolutionary manuals. The latter, while generally acceptable methodologically, are still factually outdated and most often do not reflect the main achievements of modern biblical-theological scholarship. At the current stage of the development of biblical studies we cannot be satisfied with a mere repetition of the achievements of the domestic science of the nineteenth century, but we must consider the achievements of the modern Western biblical science, subjecting them to a proper critical evaluation and analysis.
