The aim of the paper is to present the results of a long-term qualitative research on the potential of introducing artistic activities into environments at risk of social exclusion. The results suggest that the arts can be an important tool for social mobility. In the discussion we will outline the possibilities of using the theory of double exceptionality for better accessibility of artistic activities, which in turn will lead to better educational outcomes.
