OS PADRÕES DE POLICIAMENTO NO MUNDO E O IMPACTO DAS AÇÕES DE POLÍCIA NO INDICADOR CRIMINAL DE ROUBO EM CAMPINA GRANDE DO SUL

The purpose of this paper is to analyze policing patterns around the world, what the police do and their policy, as well as to specifically analyze the application of policing as a public policy for crime prevention and verify its possible contribution to reducing crime indicators in the municipality of Campina Grande do Sul. Another focal point is to analyze the criminal indicator of robbery in the municipality of Campina Grande do Sul, between the years 2018 and 2024, examining its reflexes in relation to the policing strategies adopted by the Military Police in local public security. The work is based on documentary and bibliographic research on the subject. In the end, it was found that the strategy of applying the policing pattern based on hot spots and segments can create opportunities for the consolidation of proximity policing, social pacification and crime reduction, which results in the preservation of public order. Finally, it was also observed that the policing strategy can have an impact on the police institution, as well as contributing to crime prevention and the enforcement of fundamental rights and guarantees.
