Le nominalisateur ZHE en chinois moderne

In this article we propose to examine the morphosyntactic and semantic properties of nominalizer ZHE. The results of the diachronic and synchronic analysis show that ZHE is characterized as an enclitic and it is located in an intermediate phase of the demorphologisation in modern Chinese. At the syntactic level, the formation of X-ZHE must satisfy the condition of saturation of the argument structure of the V / VP (X). And at the semantic level, two constraints have been identified in the nominalization of V / VP (X) by ZHE : (i) The classificatory function of ZHE conditions the formation of X-ZHE ; (ii) The feature [+/– episodic] shows in the synthetic compound OV-ZHE/ VO-ZHE respectively.
