Preliminary Discussion of the Detection Method for Asbestos
View through CrossRef
Asbestos is a natural fibrous silicate mineral in general, and has good abrasion resistance, heat insulation properties, and is used extensively for construction, insulation, friction, sealing materials. However, it was discovered that asbestos is inhaled into lungs easily lead to pulmonary fibrosis, then induced cancer, so asbestos has been identified as carcinogens. In this paper, pretreatment methods and detection methods for asbestos were introduced. Currently pretreatment methods for asbestos mainly include an acid method, an organic solvent method, potassium chloride solvent method, ashing method, grinding method and mixing using a variety of methods for asbestos pretreatment. Detection methods for asbestos mainly include XRD, PLM, SEM, PCM, TEM, IR, DTA, which can qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis for asbestos. In this paper, the above a variety of methods are introduced, and the characteristics of each method are analyzed, the advice of more appropriate for asbestos detection method is proposed.
