Kollwitz, Käthe: Deutschlands Kinder hungern

Poster of Käthe Kollwitz for the International Labor Aid (IAH) against famine in Germany due to inflation. The motif shows four children as breast images, the four empty seams are upward, in the back a fifth empty napf is held up by an unseen child. Leaf with needle marks on the upper corners, which testify to a use as a wall ornament. The poster motif is printed here with a lithographed signature without the writing. This is the result of the edition of the publisher Alexander von der Becke, published in 1931, which was aimed at art enthusiasts and friends of the art of Käthe Kollwitz.
