PELATIHAN TARI SEGO MEGONO OLEH KOMUNITAS TARI ARH DANCE MANAGEMENT UNTUK GURU TARI SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA

Sego Megono dance training for secondary school dance teachers for Junior High School (SMP) dance teachers in Pekalongan, is a strategic effort in supporting the preservation of local culture through formal education. Subject teacher consultation (MGMP) is a forum for teachers to collaborate and share good practices. Sego Megono dance received awards at national and International recorded Sego Megono Dance has been performed at the International Peace Dance Festival and Competition in 2022 in Turkey, and received an award from Genbi Talent Competition (GTC) as one of the best regional typical dances in 2021. Naun in Pekalongan a lot of dance teachers do not know let alone can demonstrate Sego Megono dance. This is evidenced by the author at the time of filling out a survey on the introduction of Sego Megono dance during training. Sego Megono dance is usually performed in Pekalongan city events, competitions and cultural festival events. This training is aimed at improving the pedagogical competence and practical skills of dance teachers in teaching art materials that are relevant to regional identity/local wisdom values.The method of activity is carried out through a workshop approach to share good practices by the dance community in Pekalongan, which is relevant to the identity of the Pekalongan area. The method of activity is carried out through a workshop approach which includes exposure to material by the ARH Dance Management dance community, individual and group practice dance demonstrations and reflection sessions. Data were collected through observation, short interviews and evaluation questionnaires through Google form to assess the improvement of participants ' abilities.The results of the training showed an increase in teachers ' understanding of Sego Megono dance related to the cultural values contained in it, choreographic structure, Sego Megono dance movement techniques in the context of learning the arts and culture in Junior High School. In addition, this training strengthens the collaboration network between schools and local dance communities. This activity confirms that the empowerment of teacher human resources through local wisdom-based training is the most important step in preserving traditional art and fostering the character of students who love their own local culture. Further research is recommended to assess the impact of the implementation of training materials in the learning process in the classroom.
