Aristo, Titius (Titius Aristo)

Abstract Titius Aristo was a prominent Roman jurist of Trajan's time. Not much is known about him. His birth has been placed approximately in 40–45 ce and his death about 120 ce . His works are lost and not a single fragment of them remains in Justinian's Digest . It is believed that he may have authored (or commented on) a collection of Decrees ( Decreta Frontiana or Frontiniana ) and written a Digest . Aristo's origins are thought to be ex‐slave and Greek. He was a friend of Pliny the Younger, who admired him.
