MOTIF TO MORONENE IN DOULE DISTRICT, BOMBANA DISTRICT (2011-2022)

Abstract: This research aims to describe and explain the motives and values of To Moronene in Bombana Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive historical method with a structural approach. The stages of the writing method are: (1) Heuristics (Source Collection), (2) Verification (Source Criticism), (3) Historiography (History Writing). The results of the research show that: (1) The To Moronene motif in Bombana Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province is an original cultural heritage that has been passed down from generation to generation, which at its inception was in tune with the circumstances and developments of the times from time to time, (2) The meaning of the symbol of the To motif Moronene in Bombana Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province consists of the Bosu-Bosu (Lace-Lace) motif which means a protector or safety fence for all plants, the Burisinita (Paku-Paku) motif about the life and civilization of the To Moronene people who in their daily lives always try to move forward. and continues to develop along with the times, the Sosoronga (Peti) motif contains the meaning that the Moronene community always maintains and lives in a strong community bond and places the king or government as a protector who must be respected. (3) The philosophical value of the To Moronene motif in Bombana Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, namely: (a) The philosophical value of the Bosu-bosu motif as it means a king or government who is the guardian or protector of the To Moronene community, (b) The philosophical value of the Burisininta motif or ferns on woven fabrics symbolize sustainability and growth, (c) Philosophical values Sosoronga motifs on woven fabrics often create visual balance and harmony. His philosophy reflects the importance of seeking stability in life and maintaining harmony in all things.
