In this article the focus is on discussing the methodology of the interpretation of Ali al-Sabuni in the book Safwat al-Tafasir which discusses his biography, his works as well as the method and style of his interpretation. The result of this study is that the Safwah al-Tafasir method in terms of its source includes bi al-Ra'yi, in terms of the way of explanation it includes bayni, in terms of breadth it includes Ijmali, and in terms of orderly interpretation it includes Tahlili, and the school or trend of Safwah al-Tafasir patterned adabi al-ijtima'i.
