Tu jest Galeria S

I like to think of Galeria S referring to its genius loci, and that is how I want to describe it, although the gallery has wandered around many buildings, relocating along with the Faculty of Fine Arts in Toruń, so it is difficult to assign it to a specific place. […] I also think of Galeria S as a good brand that belongs to the Faculty of Fine Arts at NCU, and whose history goes back over 40 years. You could easily add “since 1980”, or maybe even earlier. It is extremely difficult to put its history in order, as there has never been continuity of activities or specific curatorial or artistic strategies. […] Many of the artistic “phenomena” that have occurred at Galeria S had their own original character and were the prelude to more serious careers.
