Arap Dilinde Bedî‘ İlmi

The Science of Bedî‘ in the Arabic LanguagernWords draw strength from the sentences they are part of, as the context in which the expression is used, the meaning and emphasis in the arrangement of the utterances, and the situational requirements reveal themselves in the most appropriate way. In all languages, the situations where words are to be spoken, as well as the emotions and thoughts to be expressed, are innumerable and diverse. A spoken word can convey a single intended meaning in multiple ways. The merging of meaning with the most suitable of these options is achieved through the science of eloquence. Therefore, it can be said that the eloquence aims to enhance both spoken and written language in terms of words and meaning. Eloquence is examined in three fundamental sections: ma’ani beyan and bedî‘. Literary devices, both verbal and conceptual, are addressed in the the science of bedî‘. This is where the artistic elements that add strength to expression come into play. For this reason, the art of bedî‘, central to the Arabic language, draws significant attention. The specific focus on the art of bedî‘ in this book stems from its incorporation of both verbal and conceptual embellishments, the scope and purpose of the artistic elements it encompasses and its function as a discipline that seeks ways to enhance speech in terms of meaning and harmony. It is aimed to bring a fresh perspective to teaching Arabic by utilizing these qualities and rich artistic examples of this science. On the basis of qualitative research methods, this study seeks to answer the question: How can topics generally related to the science of rhetoric, and specifically to the elements of the science of bedî‘, be effectively used in teaching Arabic? Recommendations were made with examples suitable for the four main language skills. In our study, classical methods were utilized, and new methodologies and suggestions were proposed to merge existing knowledge with the aim of advancing Arabic language education. The premise is that the art of bedî‘ can provide valuable insights into curriculum development. By linking the art of bedî‘ with contemporary Arabic and promoting a simplified and accessible approach to teaching rhetoric, it is concluded that this can contribute to Arabic language education. Based on these findings, the use of the richness of bedî‘ art through meta-analysis in language teaching, along with simplified rhetoric teaching, will contribute to the literature. By employing the unique examples of rhetoric found in the Qur’an and drawing from the works of classical period authors, educators can incorporate rhetorical elements into language teaching, as well as develop new tools and methodologies.rnKeywords: Eloquence, Belâgat Science, Arabic Rhetoric, Bedî‘ Art, Teaching Arabic.
