The purpose of this article is to highlight the changes in the political consciousness of military personnel in the context of current regional and global changes. The task of the work is to analyze the political consciousness of the military personnel of the Republic of Armenia, taking into account the challenges posed by the new internal and external situation created after the 44-day war. The work was written with a joint consideration of the facts, using the principles of historical analysis. As a result of the study, it can be stated that even in the post-World War II period, the problem of the political consciousness of military personnel, as well as the study of the relationship between the political and military elites, were of particular importance. in Western and Soviet world systems. After the "cold war" and the proclamation of the independence of the Republic of Armenia, the above-mentioned problems are in the sphere of first necessity for us. During the conducted research, it was revealed that in the Armenian reality there is a lack of interest on the part of the research community towards this topic. In fact, there is an insufficient level of elaboration of the topic, which, in turn, leads to a number of problems on the ground in real life. The study of the legislative sphere of the Republic of Armenia shows that there are a number of gaps that require urgent improvement.
