Pengaruh Biaya Kualitas terhadap Tingkat Profitabilitas pada AMDK PDAM Tirtawening Kota Bandung

Abstract. A product that can be said to be of high quality if it can meet consumer satisfaction for the product it produces. But in reality the company still produces defective products and fails to be marketed. In producing the appropriate product costs are needed which are called quality costs. Quality costs are costs incurred due to the discovery of a bad product. The cost of quality as a tool for companies in identifying the costs of the products produced to achieve the benefits obtained. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality costs, the level of profitability, and the effect of quality costs on the level of profitability in AMDK PDAM Tirtawening, Bandung City. This research was conducted using a verification method with a quantitative approach. The data source used is secondary data in the form of quality cost reports and financial reports using Net Profit Margin as a benchmark for the level of profitability ending December 31, 2019-2021. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling. Testing the hypothesis used in this study using simple linear regression analysis with the results showing that quality costs affect the level of profitability of AMDK PDAM Tirtawening, Bandung City. Abstrak. Suatu produk yang dapat dikatakan berkualitas apabila dapat memenuhi kepuasan konsumen atas produk yang dihasilkan. Namun pada kenyataannya perusahaan masih menghasilkan produk cacat dan gagal untuk dipasarkan. Dalam menghasilkan produk yang sesuai dibutuhkan biaya-biaya yang disebut biaya kualitas. Biaya kualitas merupakan biaya yang timbul karena ditemukan produk yang buruk. Adapun biaya kualitas sebagai alat untuk perusahaan dalam mengidentifikasi biaya-biaya terhadap produk yang dihasilkan untuk meraih keuntungan yang didadapat. . Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui biaya kualitas, tingkat profitabilitas, dan pengaruh biaya kualitas terhadap tingkat profitabilitas pada AMDK PDAM Tirtawening Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode verifikatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder berupa laporan biaya kualitas serta laporan keuangan menggunakan Net Profit Margin sebagai tolak ukur tingkat profitabilitas yang berakhir pada 31 desember 2019-2021. Teknik penentuan sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini jenis nya yaitu purposive sampling. Pengujian hipotesis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana dengan hasil yang menunjukkan biaya kualitas berpengaruh terhadap tingkat profitabilitas pada AMDK PDAM Tirtawening Kota Bandung.
