ANALISIS TINGKAT KERUSAKAN TEGAKAN DI AREAL GARAPAN KELOMPOK TANI HUTAN KARYA MAKMUR III

The forest stands at the farmers’ cultivated area of Karya Makmur III Forest Farmer Group have an important problem in the form of tree damage. Tree damage is caused by many factors, both biotic and abiotic factors. The level of forest damage can describe whether a forest stand is healthy or not. The purpose of this research was to determine the type of tree damage, the number of trees that were damaged, and the level of damage to the stands. This research is located at the farmers’ cultivated area of Karya Makmur III Forest Farmer Group which is in Tahura Wan Abdul Rachman. The survey method used is a grid line with a sampling intensity of 1.5%. The number of samples of nested plots is 12 pieces. The results showed that at the farmers’ cultivated area of Karya Makmur III Forest Farmer Group, 14 types of tree damage had been found, the percentage of trees that were damaged was 43.4%, and the level of damage to the stands was 5.1%. Tree damage found was stem cancer, branch canker, heart rot, termite attack, resinosis/gummosis, boreholes, broken/dead branches, hollow leaves, fallen leaves, discolored leaves, leaf rust, leaf spots, dry leaves, and rot fruit. The conclusion of this research is that the condition of the forest stands at the farmers’ cultivated area of Karya Makmur III Forest Farmer Group has a fairly high resistance to attack by plant destroying organisms due to the various types of tree damage found with very light levels of damage to the stands.
