Pengaruh Recovery Experience terhadap Work Life Balance pada Karyawan

Abstract. This study aims to examine the effect of Recovery Experience on Work-Life Balance among employees. Recovery Experience refers to the process of physical, mental, and emotional recovery from work demands through four aspects: Psychological Detachment, Relaxation, Mastery, and Control (Sonnentag & Fritz, 2007), measured using the Indonesian version of the Recovery Experience Questionnaire (Hamsyah et al., 2024). Work-Life Balance was measured using the Work/Nonwork Interference and Enhancement Scale (Fisher et al., 2009; adapted by Gunawan et al., 2019), which includes four dimensions: Work Interference with Personal Life (WIPL), Personal Life Interference with Work (PLIW), Work Enhancement of Personal Life (WEPL), and Personal Life Enhancement of Work (PLEW). This quantitative study used a non-experimental causal design and convenience sampling. A total of 412 employees aged 30–60 years from the tourism and hospitality, education, and banking sectors in Bandung City participated in the study. Data analysis was conducted using multivariate multiple linear regression in SPSS 25. The results showed that Recovery Experience significantly and positively affects Work-Life Balance, especially in the WEPL (R² = 34.5%) and PLEW (R² = 29.8%) dimensions. Psychological Detachment, Relaxation, and Control were the most influential aspects. These findings emphasize the importance of post-work recovery in enhancing employees’ work-life balance. Abstrak. Sementara itu, Work-Life Balance diukur melalui Work/Nonwork Interference and Enhancement Scale (Fisher et al., 2009; adaptasi Gunawan et al., 2019) dengan empat dimensi: Work Interference with Personal Life (WIPL), Personal Life Interference with Work (PLIW), Work Enhancement of Personal Life (WEPL), dan Personal Life Enhancement of Work (PLEW). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain kausalitas non-eksperimental dan teknik convenience sampling. Responden berjumlah 412 karyawan usia 30–60 tahun dari sektor pariwisata dan perhotelan, pendidikan, serta perbankan di Kota Bandung. Analisis data dilakukan dengan regresi linier berganda multivariat menggunakan SPSS 25. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Recovery Experience berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Work-Life Balance, terutama pada dimensi WEPL (R² = 34,5%) dan PLEW (R² = 29,8%). Aspek Psychological Detachment, Relaxation, dan Control menjadi aspek paling berpengaruh terhadap dimensi Work-Life Balance. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya aktivitas pemulihan pasca kerja dalam mendukung keseimbangan hidup karyawan.
