Much researchhasbeenconductedon the"UzbeklarTekkesi"(The Uzbeks Lodge) inSultantepe. However, none ofthese studies have been dedicated to a detailed examination of the inscriptions on the takya's portals. Furthermore, a comprehensive studyof the tombstones inthetakyacemetery has yet tobeconducted. Thisstudy,withtheexceptionofthetombstones,focusesontheinscriptionsonthe portals of the "Uzbeklar Tekkesi" and the portals in the cemetery part. These inscriptions are important because they provide detailed information about the buried individuals in the cemetery area who were sheikhs in the takya, who were involved in charity for the takya, and their family members and their relatives. Sometimes these descriptions provideinformation that cannot be found even in archivaldocuments. This article examines the inscriptions on the portals according to the history of the takya, taking into account chronology and revealing the connection between the takyaandthepersonsmentioned init.Atthesametime,attentionispaidtothosewhose names appear frequently on the inscriptions, especially the sheikhs and patrons of the constructionofthetakya,aswellastothepoetswhocomposedtheinscriptions,andthe poems ofthe ta'rih, whichindicatethedate oftheevents that took place, areexamined. In particular, information is given on the creative path of such poets as Oqiba, Lailo Khanum,Tirnokchizade Mehmed Sayyid Zevar, Ra'fat. The article explores the reasons behind the creation of the inscriptions (epitaphs) and why these particular poets were chosen to compose them. Sometimes the inscriptions were selected from poems sent to the palace by poets, while at othertimesMaxsus son | 1 (12) Alfraganus xalqaro ilmiyjurnali 100they reflectedthe preferences of the takya's residents. Most importantly, comparing the information contained in these inscriptions with data from other sources highlights the significance ofthese inscriptions asa historical resource. The article brings together the texts and images of nine inscriptions on takya portals andintroducesitintoscholarlycirculationasacatalogofinscriptionsontakya's portals. Overall, this study is important because it serves as a preliminary study of tombstonesintheTakya Cemetery.
