Sahabi literally means companion. But it is an important and permanent term of Islam. Actulally the word Sahib is based on those who met the messenger of Allah ﷺand have left the world in the state of faith. If we study the Islamic history, it is come to know that after claiming the prophecy, in different periods and different areas several men were born who claimed Sahabiyat. In this article all such people have been presented who have claimed Sahabiyat. Their claim has been researched and the views of scholars have been put forward in this regard.
