Jafar Tahir is a modern day poet who did not get the attention he deserved. In addition to ghazals, he tried his hand at many genres, including cantos. Jafar's living conditions are as unknown as his poetry. Some critics and researchers have tried to bring this poet before Majeed Amjad's peers. Some research theses were also compiled on Jafar Tahir. Some great writers like Intezar Hussain, Khawaja Muhammad Zakaria, and Dr. Anwar Sadid wrote about Jafar, and especially Sher Afzal Jafari and Safdar Saleem Sial. But the living conditions of this great poet did not become popular in the eyes of the readers; the article under review is an attempt to compile the biography of this great poet.
