The Lord Mayor of London, Sir George Broadbridge, placed a quill pen in the hand of John Stow's effigy when he attended the annual Stow Commemoration service at the Church of St Andrew Undershaft, City. The collaboration was arranged by the London and Middlesex Archaeological Society. Stow, the famous 16th century chronicler, was responsible for most of the early history of London._x000D_
