Barokk Orpheus a humanista alvilágban

A tanulmány Jacopo Peri Euridice című, 1600-ban bemutatott operáját elemzi az Orpheus-mítosz humanista újraírásainak és a korai barokk zenei retorika eszményének metszéspontjában. A szerző arra mutat rá, hogy Peri műve nemcsak stiláris újítás, hanem a mítosz alvilági jeleneteinek tudatos újraértelmezése révén egyúttal a humanista tragédiaeszmény zenei–poétikai reflexiója is. A tanulmány különös figyelmet fordít a szöveg és zene kapcsolatára, valamint arra, miként válik az opera médiuma a humanista retorika és a barokk kifejezésmód közötti feszültség megjelenítőjévé.
