Introduction

Abstract This Introduction provides an overview of many different questions that arise when thinking about omnipresence. In particular it focuses on two questions one needs to answer when thinking about omnipresence, namely whether omnipresence should be understood in terms of derivative or fundamental presence, and whether we should think that that-which-is-omnipresent is distinct from that-which-it-is present-at/in. After briefly discussing these questions, and pointing our readers to relevant chapters in the volume which consider them in more detail, the Introduction concludes by providing an outline of the contents of the volume, informing the reader as to what is in store and the contents of each section.
