The poster - “Leyen un abonir zikh” in original Yiddish - promoted subscription campaign of the Soviet Ukrainian Bolshevik party- and Young Communist League-sponsored Yiddish newspapers: “Der Shtern” (The Star), “Sotsdorf” (Soc[ialist] Village), “Yunge gvardie” (Young Guard), “Zay Greyt” (Be Ready), “Kinder-roman-tsaytung” (Children’s Novel-Newspaper), “Gezunt un Arbet” (Health and Labor). The poster includes the newspapers’ logos, lists subscription rates, and informs that subscription is available at all postal offices. Designer is unknown. Printed by the Ukrainian publishing house named after comrade Dzerzhinskii in Kharkiv.
