The poster - “Shtimt far der partey fun Lenin-Stalin! Shtimt far di kandidatn funem blok fun di komunistn un umpateyishe” (Vote for the party of Lenin-Stalin. Vote for the candidates from the block of Communists and non-party members) in original Yiddish - promotes the popular involvement in the 1940 elections to the organs of the Soviet power in the western regions of Ukraine and Belorossia annexed by the USSR as per the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact (partition of independent Polish state between Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia) in November 1939. Published by the State publishing house “Iskusstvo” (Moscow-Leningrad, 1940). Designed by Nikolai Denisov (1917-1982), Soviet artist, the author of many propaganda posters, and his wife Nina Vatolina (1915-2002), also famous for her propaganda posters. Editor A.Druzhkov. Technical editor I.Kabanov. Translation editor I.Lev. Print run 20,000 copies. Price 70 kopeks. Same type face, editors, and publisher as in the POST_00015 and POST_00016.
