THERAPEUTIC EFFICACY OF THE PREPARATION «KUBAZOL» IN THE TREATMENT OF HOOF INJURIES IN HORSES

The article presents the results of clinical studies of the therapeutic efficacy of the veterinary drug «Kubazol» (spray for external use, solution) in the treatment of hoof lesions in horses. Hoof lesions in horses are accompanied by the development of inflammatory and purulent-necrotic processes, pain and lameness, which negatively affects the physiological state and performance of animals. In this regard, the search for effective veterinary drugs for the local treatment of hoof pathologies is relevant. The aim of the study was to establish the therapeutic efficacy of the drug «Kubazol» and evaluate its effect on the clinical state and clinical and biochemical blood parameters of horses. It was established that complex therapy with the use of the drug «Kubazol» contributed to the gradual clinical recovery of animals. Already on the 3rd day of treatment, pain and lameness in horses decreased, and on the 7th day the incidence rate decreased by 50,0%. On the 14th day, clinical signs of hoof damage in animals of both experimental groups were absent. At the same time, normalization of clinical and biochemical blood parameters was observed, in particular, a decrease in the number of leukocytes, the concentration of fibrinogen and C-reactive protein in blood plasma. It was established that the veterinary drug «Kubazol» is not inferior in therapeutic efficacy to the comparison drug «Kubatol Pix spray» and has a positive effect on the course of reparative processes in hoof tissues. The use of the drug helps to improve blood microcirculation, cleanse the affected tissues and accelerate the regeneration of the horny substance of the hoof. The drug has keratoplastic, keratolytic, antiseptic and disinfectant properties, which ensures its effectiveness in the complex therapy of hoof pathologies in horses. The results obtained indicate the prospects for using the drug «Kubazol» in veterinary practice for the treatment of hoof lesions in horses.
