View through CrossRef
A survey was carried outto find occurrence and population status of reniform nematode, Rotylenchulus reniformis in Udaipur and Chittorgarh districts of Rajasthan. A total of sixty samples were collected from host crops specific areas of Udaipur (Badgaon, Chikalwas, Iswal, Thoor, Madarda, Fatehpura, Gogunda, Loyara and Navania). Results indicated occurrence of R. reniformis 69.91% with an average population of 62.88 females/plant, 47.19 egg masses per plant and 601.64 number of larvae/200 cc soil. From Chittorgarh (Udpura, Asawara, Magarda, Kapasan, Nimbahera, Nagari and Kherapura) a total of forty-six soil and root samples were collected from host crops. Results showed that reniform nematode was recorded in all the places of surveyed area. Occurrence of R. reniformis was determined 66.07% with an average population of 57.60 females/plant, 43.61 egg masses per plant and 540.56 larvae/200 cc soil. On the whole one hundred six soil and root samples were collected out of them, R. reniformis was recorded in seventy-five samples with 68.23 percent occurrence. On an average 60.70 females per plant, 45.62 egg masses per plant and 574.92 larvae/ 200 cc soil was recorded.

Description:
A survey was carried outto find occurrence and population status of reniform nematode, Rotylenchulus reniformis in Udaipur and Chittorgarh districts of Rajasthan.
A total of sixty samples were collected from host crops specific areas of Udaipur (Badgaon, Chikalwas, Iswal, Thoor, Madarda, Fatehpura, Gogunda, Loyara and Navania).
Results indicated occurrence of R.
reniformis 69.
91% with an average population of 62.
88 females/plant, 47.
19 egg masses per plant and 601.
64 number of larvae/200 cc soil.
From Chittorgarh (Udpura, Asawara, Magarda, Kapasan, Nimbahera, Nagari and Kherapura) a total of forty-six soil and root samples were collected from host crops.
Results showed that reniform nematode was recorded in all the places of surveyed area.
Occurrence of R.
reniformis was determined 66.
07% with an average population of 57.
60 females/plant, 43.
61 egg masses per plant and 540.
56 larvae/200 cc soil.
On the whole one hundred six soil and root samples were collected out of them, R.
reniformis was recorded in seventy-five samples with 68.
23 percent occurrence.
On an average 60.
70 females per plant, 45.
62 egg masses per plant and 574.
92 larvae/ 200 cc soil was recorded.
