Implementasi Program Pengembangan Usaha dalam Mendukung Operasional LPP TVRI Stasiun Riau

The Public Broadcasting Institution (LPP) TVRI plays a strategic role as a public media outlet tasked with providing information, education, and healthy entertainment, as well as maintaining national unity. In carrying out its functions, TVRI relies not only on government funding but is also encouraged to develop other legitimate sources of revenue through business development programs. This study aims to analyze the implementation of business development programs to support the operations of LPP TVRI Riau Station. The research method used was a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques through observation, documentation, and literature review. The results indicate that the business development program at LPP TVRI Riau Station is implemented through various activities, such as leasing broadcasting facilities, publication collaborations, commercial content production, and the use of digital media. This program contributes to increasing non-state budget revenue that can be used to support the station's operational needs. However, its implementation still faces various obstacles, such as limited human resources, digital media competition, and regulations that limit the scope of public broadcasters' business activities. Therefore, a more innovative development strategy is needed to ensure optimal and sustainable business development programs.
