Three-dimensional Myofascial Release for Musculoskeletal Conditions: An Educational Perspective
View through CrossRef
Myofascial Release (MFR) is a therapy treatment that aims to relieve pain by releasing fascial restrictions and regaining normal movement patterns. Three-Dimensional Myofascial Release (3D-MFR) is a manual therapy technique designed to address fascial restrictions by engaging tissues across all three anatomical planes simultaneously. This brief communication presents the conceptual framework, technique, clinical indications, contraindications, and comparative advantages of 3D-MFR over traditional myofascial approaches. Early research findings indicate that 3D-MFR successfully reduces pain, improves mobility, and function in musculoskeletal conditions, including those involving hyper lordosis and posture-related issues. 3D-MFR offers a promising breakthrough for fascial therapy by providing a multidimensional approach to fascial release. Additional studies are required to completely establish its clinical efficacy.
