PHONEME [ä] IN THE KARAIDEL DIALECT OF THE BASHKIR LANGUAGE: EXPERIMENTAL PHONETIC ANALYSIS

This article analyzes the acoustic characteristics of the phoneme [ә] in the pronunciation of speakers of the Karaidel dialect of the northwestern dialect of the Bashkir language. This vowel is considered in the initial, interconsonant, auslaut positions in such native lexemes as äpäj ‘bread’, ätäj ‘father’, äsä ‘sour, bitter’, jäj ‘summer’, kämä ‘boat’. The work uses the author's expeditionary materials collected in the settlements of the Karaidel district of the Republic of Bashkortostan in 2022-2023. Recordings and transcripts are carried out according to a special phonetic program and methodology. The article uses sound recordings of four speakers, native speakers of the Karaidel dialect. The acoustic analysis was carried out using the Speech Analyzer 3.0.1 computer program. As a result of the experimental study, specific realizations of the specified phoneme in the speech of native speakers were identified in the form of various allophones of the vowels type-ä, type-e and duphones « », « e ».
