AZƏRBAYCAN VOKAL SƏNƏTİNDƏ MİLLİ İFA ÜSLUBUNUN XÜSUSİYYƏTLƏRİ

The article examines the formation of Azerbaijani national vocal performance traditions, their connection with the art of mugham, and provides a comparative analysis of this tradition with Eastern vocal culture – particularly the historical development of the Indian Khayal vocal style – as well as with the Western Bel canto system. From a scientific and theoretical perspective, the study analyzes the stages of vocal technique development, including the transition from chest resonance to head resonance, and the principles of preserving national intonation and emotional expressiveness. In the contemporary period, the main objective of the Azerbaijani vocal school lies in adapting the scientific principles of European vocal technique to the aesthetics of the national voice and in systematically establishing the theoretical and methodological foundations of the “National Vocal” concept. The article explores the directions of development of national vocal education from both historical and theoretical perspectives.
