In November-December, 2015 an excavation was conducted in El‘ad, at 20 Shamai Street (Permit No. A-7545; map ref. 195263-375/661680-815; Fig. 1), prior to construction of a school and residential buildings. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and financed by the El‘ad municipality, was directed by E. Jakoel, with the assistance of Y. Amrani and E.
