Refrações no tempo literário, na ficção de Maria José de Queiroz

Neste artigo examina-se parte da obra de Maria José de Queiroz, com enfoque nos diversos modos de manifestação do tempo. Selecionaram-se os romances Homem de sete partidas (Queiroz, 1980) e Sobre os rios que vão (Queiroz, 1990), a novela “O julgamento”, que consta do livro Amor cruel, amor vingador (Queiroz, 1996a), e o livro infanto-juvenil O chapéu encantado (Queiroz, 1998), para identificar o tratamento dado nessas ficções às questões temporais. Utiliza-se como suporte teórico o ensaio Refrações no tempo (Queiroz, 1996b), da mesma autora, assim como textos de Roland Barthes (1987), Alfonso Martin Jiménez (1989), Edward Morgan Forster (2005), Jacques Derrida (2012) e Chris Sinha e Enrique Bernárdez (2015). Conclui-se que o estilo de Queiroz apresenta características linguísticas, semânticas e histórico-culturais relacionadas ao tratamento do tempo que contribuem para gerar efeitos dramáticos.
