Radio speaker. Loudspeaker platform design, no. 7

View through Europeana Collections
Radio speaker. Loudspeaker platform design, no. 7. 1922. Gouache, ink and pencil on paper. 26.9 x 17.7. Color composition depicting a construction with two radio loudspeakers that on the two visible sides of their base bear the number 7 in orange or white and a white or black background respectively. The frame structure of a tetrahedron pyramid with a base is placed in a diagonal direction. The edges of the pyramid join at its apex into a tiny rectangular solid. In the extension of the vertical axis of the imaginary pyramid, four rectangular surfaces are developed symmetrically and in a kind of banner, with the possible possibility of rotation, two of which carry a word each. The Russian letters of the words (РАДИО and ОРАТОР respectively) span the entire length and width of the rectangular surfaces, in contact with each other and are elongated. The conical shape of the megaphone is rendered by a black triangle with a curve on one side, on which a circular disk of orange abuts on the outside and with smaller triangles on the inside, alternating black and white and radially arranged around a smaller red circle. Productivism.
