Razvoj portala zVEM in Centralnega registra podatkov o pacientu

The digitalisation of healthcare in Slovenia has experienced unprecedented progress in recent years. The covid19 epidemic required a number of upgrades to information solutions that needed to be developed and implemented as soon as possible. The Healthcare Patient Portal zVEM and the Central Registry of Patient Data (CRPD) have made particularly great progress in the field of eHealth. In the paper, with the help of data from the modules for statistics and business intelligence, we described and analysed in more detail the patient portal zVEM and CRPD, related innovations and their use. During the epidemic, the zVEM portal took on an important role in empowering, informing and raising public awareness. It provides patients with safe and reliable access to their data in eHealth databases and eHealth services. The most resounding is the printout of the EU Digital Covid Certificate (EU DCC). A new zVEMplus module has been developed for healthcare providers, which enables the capture and processing of data and the submission of mandatory reports by providers who do not use or have access to their own information systems. The data displayed through the zVEM Portal are drawn from the CRPD, which is today the most complex public information system in Slovenia. In the future, it is essential to maintain the progress made and to provide conditions for the continuation of the encouraging development trend in the field of eHealth solutions in Slovenia.
