Lorenz Weber is the father of the givers. This one was chairman of Roskilde Technical School for a period, and the portrait was painted by one of the school’s former students who continued at the Academy of Fine Arts.
The painting was inherited by L. Weber’s daughter Marie Louise (givers); later to his son, Sigismund Backe, residing in Sweden.
