Beyond the logic of claiming the origins of human rights, the Kurukan Fuga Charter promotes human dignity. In this perspective, it proclaims the right to life, protects people and their goods, fights against slavery and humiliation, humanizes the promotion of property, recommends the cult of work and solidarity, etc. Moreover, this legal dimension of the Kurukan Fuga Charter is one of the reasons that justify its actuality. In this sense, many specialists read (reread) it in the light of current legal concerns. In any case, the living together that this fundamental text advocates must help to make humanity come together and to promote peace and sustainable development.
