The most exclusive order of chivalry in the world. The order was founded by Edward III in 1348. It houses motto ' Honi soit qui mal y pense '(shame on him who thinks elevate). This remark was attributed to Edward III when he picked up Garter dropped by the Countess of Salisbury at a Court Ball. _x000D_
