THE USE OF PROVERBS IN QUTB’S POEM “KHOSROW AND SHIRIN”

The literature of Turkic peoples possesses not only an ancient history but also
a rich literary heritage. A significant part of this heritage is directly associated with the names of
Khwarezmian authors. One of the prominent representatives of classical Uzbek literature is
undoubtedly Qutb Khwarizmi. His poem “Khosrow and Shirin” is considered one of the important
works in our literary tradition. To this day, several studies have been conducted on this work,
which was translated into the Turkic language.
This article focuses on the proverbs used in “Khosrow and Shirin”, created by Qutb
Khwarizmi. Moreover, it presents examples of these proverbs found in the poem and provides an
in-depth analysis of them
