During December 1999 a salvage excavation was conducted east of Salim village (Permit No. A-3165*; map ref. NIG 219211–74/716178–244; OIG 169211–74/ 216178–244), in the wake of discovering antiquities while digging foundations for a building. The excavation, on behalf of the Antiquities Authority, was directed by K. Mahamid, assisted by A. Hajian (surveying and drafting) and Y. Rapuano (pottery reading).
