In October 2015, a salvage excavation was conducted at the foot of the eastern slope of Tel Yoqne'am, within the precincts of the moshava (Permit No. A-7528; map ref. 210735/729881; Fig. 1), prior to construction. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority, was directed by A. Zedan (field photography), with the assistance of Y. Ya'aqobi (administration), M. Kunin and A. Hajian (surveying), K. Covello-Paran and Y. Shalev (scientific guidance), H. Tahan-Rosen (drawing of finds), N. Marom (archaeozoology), N. Zak (drafting), A. Shapiro (GPS), N. Feig (pottery consultation) and laborers from Kafr Kana.
