Abstract
The Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory‐III (MCMI‐III) (Millon, 2006) is one of nine published measures that operationalize Theodore Millon's (1969, 1996) evolutionary model of personality and psychopathology. Other Millon tests include the Millon Behavioral Medicine Diagnostic and the Millon Adolescent Clinical Inventory. Since its introduction in 1977, the MCMI has become one of the most frequently used instruments for the examination of personality disorders and clinical syndromes. There are over 500 empirical studies based on this measure, as well as seven MCMI‐related books. Among personality tests, only the Rorschach and the MMPI‐2 have produced more research during the past 15 years. Recent reviews of this literature are available in Choca (2004) and Craig (2005).
