he waiting room is an essential element that not only affects the image of a place but also visitors. An uncomfortable waiting room dramatically affects a person when visiting and is exacerbated by the pandemic that has hit the whole world, even though the time spent in the waiting room tends to be more than in other rooms. This is very influential on the facilities provided by a company or institution that sells a product or service to visitors, namely the waiting room. The waiting room is a facility that is quite important for the continuity of waiting for someone to carry out activities. Therefore, this study aims to determine the perception of the waiting room condition in public facilities when someone is waiting during a pandemic. This research used a qualitative-quantitative method with an exploratory nature and a grounded theory approach. Qualitative research obtained informational data related to one's feelings while waiting at public facilities during a pandemic, while exploratory quantitative research was conducted to collect data based on information related to comfort while waiting in public facilities. Data was collected by distributing online questionnaires, distributed freely (non-random sampling).
