Man's leather shoe, 'made in England especially for G.F. Christmas shoes, Collius St. Melbourne', 'Master Boot Maker to H.M. King George V', 1920s-1930s, British for the Australian market. Pair of chestnut-coloured Derby shoes with laces tied shoes with eyelet tabs stitched over vamp. There are fastened with light brown laces. They have round toes and a stacked heel. Rows of steel studs are visible on the base of the heel which clamp it in place. They have brown inner soles which are stamped with the maker and vendor's names. Machine sewn leather with 'hand-lasted' upper. Stacked leather heel clamped in place with steel studs.
